To
measure chest and arm, have the missionary hang
his arms to the side and wrap the tape around the
widest part of the chest and arms.
|
|
|
To
measure the chest only, raise arms and measure
around the thickest part of the chest.
|
|
|
To
Measure exact neck size, wrap the measuring tape
loosely around the missionary's neck and enter that
measurement. You should
be able to get a few fingers between the measuring
tape and neck. Remember, your missionary is
subject to weight gain!
Hint: For tall customers, long body shirts
are only available in the half sizes (ie 15.5,
16.5, 17.5, 18.5, etc.)

|
To
measure arm length, start the measuring tape at
the center of the neck (right
on the spine), right below where the
collar would be. Measure over the shoulder
and down to the wristbone or right to where the
hand starts to widen. Add or subtract
accordingly if you prefer longer or shorter
sleeves. Most shirts also
tend to shrink about 1/2 inch through the sleeves
after 12-15 washings.

|
To
measure your waist, wrap the tape
(make sure it isn't on top of
your belt or pants) around your
natural waistline . This is about 1-2"
below your naval. Again,
"low-rider" pants are not acceptable for
mission attire.
This is a very important
measurement. Do not "suck in," guess,
or enter a smaller size because
that is the size you wear in other pants. Remember, the
tape measure is always accurate.

| Outseam: |
Remove your shoes and stand straight with feet shoulder width apart. Put your pants up at where you wear your dress pants with the front of the pant about 2-3" below the naval. Have someone else put the top of the tape measure on the top of your waistband, run it over your pocket and down the side of your leg where the outside seam of your pants is. If you will be wearing shoes with larger soles, go right to the floor and that is the measurement. Do the same measurement several times on both legs to make sure you have it correct or you could have flood pants or pants that are too long.
