A lot of missionaries want to know why handkerchiefs are still required. Well, they aren't just for runny noses (it is easier to wash a handkerchief than a shirt or suit coat) and emotional discussions. Handkerchiefs can be used for a variety of applications, from first aid to mending clothing to wiping up spills to cleaning your hands after some roadside bike or car repair. I have even seen handkerchiefs matched with a magic thumb (get that at your local magic shop) for hours of entertainment for kids on the street. For other hanky stories, just ask around the Elder's Quorum-- you would be amazed.
Our 100% cotton handkerchiefs dry fast, and are very durable but soft and absorbent. They come in a packet of 6.
Handkerchief Tip: Don't buy polyester blend handkerchiefs-- they are just for show, so while poly blends are wrinkle-free and look nice, they tend to be a very rough fabric- especially unkind to stuffy noses. They also wick and shed moisture instead of absorbing it (very inconvenient in first aid or runny nose situations).
