I first met Jeremy Baird back in 1993 when he was my trainer in Uruguay.  As fate had it, Jeremy decided to go to medical school and become a doctor.  After many, many years studying and practicing medicine, he chose to specialize in being an Emergency Room physician.  Dr. Baird sees more banged up people in one afternoon at his job in the ER in Las Vegas as most missionaries will see their entire missions.

Two years back, I asked Jeremy to take a look at our first aid kits at the store while he was up visiting family.  He looked at it and wasn't impressed.  We then had a fairly detailed talk about the shortcomings of not only our first aid kit, but also all the first aid kits on the market.  The bags weren't right, the contents weren't right, the advice wasn't right (safety pin your companion's tongue to his lip?  Really?), and the general idea was all wrong.  These kits were meant to look nice on a shelf and sell well.  The items that Elder's really needed in the field weren't there or were only there in tiny quantities.

So, I asked him to do a kit for us, and two years later (it turns out that physicians don't have a lot of free time) we got our first prototype, and then our first kits, and they have been flying off the shelves ever since.

The point of this story is to let you know that there is a First Aid kit designed by an Emergency Room physician who also served a mission in Uruguay.  How many first aid kits can claim even one of those things?  To my surprise, most kits aren't even designed by doctors, let alone ER docs who know a thing or two about emergency care.

Another cool thing is that the kit is fully expandable.  The heavy duty zipper bags can fit all kinds of extra medications, plus they are see-through for easy access to everything, easy and compact to pack, as well as fully water and humidity proof.
