Finding a dress pant that would hold up to the rigors of mission life was quite the challenge, especially since we guarantee everything we sell will last the whole two years of your mission.

 

We could have gone with an indestructible Swedish Knit all polyester pant-- it certainly would have lasted-- but it would have felt like wearing a garbage bag in terms of breathability and comfort.

 

We finally found this 70% polyester and 30% wool pant that we have had in our store since about 2001. Since then it has been one of our highest rated items on durability and they are fairly comfortable with a double pleat, but non-bulky / billowy fit (billowy pants tend to get caught in bike gears).

 

The construction of these pants is nice too. They include the Poly/Wool two ply year round weight 10.5 oz. Fabric, a really great double hook and eye closure with an added button closure (this keeps the waistband from rolling over and gives you 2 backup ways to button your pants-- redundancy is a great thing on mission clothing). It also has a brass zipper instead of plastic, and an extended fly lining for biking missions.
