We've learned over the years that missionaries that serve in Brazil are typically the hardest on shoes.  That's due to the very humid climate, lots of rain, heat, and rough roads that are walked on daily.  So, we were excited when we learned about the MissionShoe.  This shoe actually comes from Brazil.  They were originally developed for the mailmen in Brazil, because just like LDS missionaries, they walk all day.  The MissionShoe is now beefed up even more to make sure it's a great shoe for any missionary in the world.

 

This shoe is waterproof (you'll never find a waterproof shoe for under a $100), has an anti-microbial insole (great for fighting foot odors and preventing athletes foot), is comfortable, durable, and lightweight (that makes a huge difference when you're walking in a shoe all day for miles and miles

Several of our employees served their missions in different parts of Brazil and know first-hand how durable and comfortable these shoes were for themselves or companions. 

 

The sizes come in whole sizes only.  We've found that if you're a half size, it's best to round up to the nearest whole size.  There is usually such a small difference between a half size and whole size anyway, that most people can never tell a difference.  And, if you're going to a hot and/or humid climate, you want some wiggle room in your shoes because your feet will swell a lot walking all day in that humidity.
